OUR
STORY

AIM Strong, Inc. was created in loving memory of my son Israel and my nephew Abid, both of whom lost their battle with Fanconi Anemia, and in honor of my daughter Mariana, who continues in her fight. Abid, Israel, and Mariana all underwent bone marrow transplants to treat the bone marrow failure caused by Fanconi Anemia.

When my son Israel had his bone marrow transplant, we were required to temporarily relocate for 9 months to be near his transplant center. During this time, we received support and assistance from family, friends, and other organizations. The seemingly simple act of receiving gift cards to help us with our day-to-day needs was such a blessing to our family.

When we returned home after Israel's died, I felt challenged to help families who go through the same trails that we went through. The inspiration for AIM Strong, Inc. was born from our experiences.
-Mary Jo Becerra, Founder

Impact
To date, we have provided financial assistance in the form of gift cards to over 1100 families of children undergoing bone marrow transplant.
